The day after Halloween was the last day Tweetsie Railroad is open until spring. Eddie wore his costume (and lots of layers) and we really got our money's worth! When we first walked in, we saw the real, live steam engine pull in, and Eddie's eyes were like dinner plates. It was noisy and dramatic, and it smelled like coal. Later, we rode the train around the park to watch the wild west shows. Eddie was not happy until his head was hanging out the window. We checked out a can-can dancer show at lunch, rode the little cars and the "Mouse Mine" train, and rode the merry-go-round.
Feeding the goats at Tweetsie was so much fun. Pygmies are very friendly when they associate people with ice cream cones full of goat treats. And their mouths are not really big enough to put much of a dent in a toddler's finger.
Eddie called the emu "chicken!"

LuAnne, Tony, and Jillian came over to see Eddie in his Halloween costume before we went to Boone. No one could get him to wear his hat, so he went as Daniel Boone instead of Davy Crockett.

This was a candy bucket that Eddie voluntarily wore on his head like a hat for hours on end. Yet, we could not get him to wear his coon-skin hat for anything. Maybe the tail scared him???
