John Rock

This is John Rock from where our car is parked. Mom & Dad carried me to the top.



Our car is parked in that lot down there. It's by the fish hatchery.

Mommy's boss was going to take this toy to Goodwill! Mom rescued it for me.

Last Sunday my parents took me on a long hike and we went to the top of a mountain! Mom & Dad walked for 3 hours. I rode in my carrier and slept part of the way. We met a very nice family at the top who took our picture. Dad took one of them, too, and Mom emailed it to them since they didn't bring a camera. I have also been pulling up and standing! I still crawl on my knees and elbows, but I go very fast. I get up on my hands and knees and rock back and forth. And I say all kinds of words if you listen to me closely! "Ba-ba-ba, muh-muh-muh, de-de-de..."

Triple Falls

We went to Triple Falls, one of the waterfalls in Dupont State Forest last Sunday. The paths were wide enough for me to ride down most of the way in my jogging stroller. It was so much colder than my bathtub, but I still got myself all wet and had a terrific time. By the time we got back to the car I was knocked out.

My favorite friend lately has been Oxford. Dad makes a game of putting him in different places for me to notice. When we were moving into our house I found him waiting for me between two boxes. I love to find him!

I've been talking and trying to pull up. My mom & dad have helped me stand in these pictures, but once I'm up, I'm steady.

Another New Tooth

It has taken Mommy a few tries, but she finally got a picture of my new teeth (yes, TEETH! I have two!) My third tooth is still a white bump next to the newest one on my lower gum, but it'll be in soon, too. I try to bite everything. Mom "accidentally" dropped some foil bread pans on the kitchen floor this morning and I didn't even bother to touch one with my hand before I put my mouth on it! Mommy also gave up trying to be neat and let me fingerpaint with my squash and bananas. It was so much fun!

I sit outside with Mommy for a few minutes every morning before she goes to work. It's nice and cool here. It was only 65 degrees this morning!

Daddy took me to WalMart this week and bought me a bulldozer...

We're in a New Home!

Mommy & Daddy have been so busy unpacking and getting our new house set up. Mommy knows there's a lot a stuff she'd like to write, but she's so tired right now that all she can do is post the pictures. So.... on the day before we moved, we went to a Durham Bulls game one more time, my first tooth is in and I'm sleeping better, I'm crawling all over the place and learning the word "no." I'm trying to stand up, too. My new home, neighborhood, and babysitter are all wonderful. Mom & Dad took me for a long walk yesterday in Dupont State Forest and we saw a massive waterfall!
